Welcome back!

We hope this message finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. For the last 9 weeks, at the recommendations of the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Governor Sununu we had suspended all routine dental care and provided only urgent emergency care. We have been granted approval to resume routine dental procedures and we are eager to return to our patients. We wanted to make sure that all recommendations were fully implemented before we welcomed you back. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety and wellbeing.

It has been great speaking to many of you as we continue the process of rescheduling the appointments from the last several weeks. If you have not heard from us yet, please be patient as we are doing our best to work through the weeks one at a time. Although we are resuming elective restorative care and continuing to see emergencies, we will slowly be phasing routine hygiene care in throughout the month of June.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We have implemented these changes to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. For example:

  • In an effort to maintain social distancing, your waiting room is now your car. When you arrive for your appointment, please remain in your car and we will greet you when it is time for you to come in for your appointment.

  • We are encouraging you to help us control the number of people in the office at any one-time. If you need to escort a child or an elder into the office, please do so once we let you know that we are ready for you and then return to your car to wait.

  • Before you enter the office, you will be asked some screening questions. We will be taking your temperature and quickly checking your oxygen levels with a pulse oximeter.

  • We have hand sanitizer and masks available when you enter the office for you to use as needed.

  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time and to allow for adequate disinfection of each operatory between patients.

  • You will notice that we have added enhanced air purifiers into each operatory and at the front reception area.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.

Sincerely,

Gayla A. Levine, DDS and Kourosh Asha, DMD
