Gayla Levine, DDS

Gayla Levine, DDS

Dr. Levine has been delivering the highest quality dental care to her patients for the last decade. Originally from Ogdensburg, New York, Dr. Levine earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Boston College. She then went on to earn her DDS degree from New York University College of Dentistry. After earning her degree, she completed a general practice residency at Tufts University.

Dr. Levine’s interest in dentistry began when she interned for her childhood dentist, Dr. Patricia Mahoney. Interestingly enough, Dr. Levine’s sister, Dr. Shannon Ahlo also interned for Dr. Mahoney and is now an endodontist on Long Island along with her husband Dr. Joseph Ahlo, a Board Certified periodontist. It is safe to say that dentistry is a frequent topic of conversation at family gatherings.

After completing her residency, Dr. Levine entered private practice in Townsend, MA working with Dr. Michael John-- a longtime dentist and former instructor in the Tufts University General Practice Residency Program. She eventually followed him to Tewskbury Hospital in Massachusetts where she continues to work alongside him treating patients with special needs.

In addition to being licensed in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, she is professionally affiliated with the American Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, New Hampshire Dental Society, Massachusetts Dental Society, Academy of Laser Dentistry, and Merrimack Valley Dental Society.

As a Windham resident, Dr. Levine is active in the community, where she devotes her time to visiting local classrooms to speak with children about their oral health. She has also participated in dental screenings for the Special Olympics. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and their three children, Luke, Caitlin, and Claire. She can often be seen running along the Windham Rail Trail or skating at the local ice rink.
